We spent the day exploring two of Dominica's most amazing waterfalls - Middleham Falls and Trafalgar Falls with SeaCat, our favorite Dominican Rasta and best tour guide ever. Without SeaCat, we would never have attempted any of the crazy waterfall jumps, cliff repelling, gorge diving, jungle navigating, etc from these spectacular rainforest sites.

SeaCat convinced the guys to swim around the base of the waterfall (not happening for the girls). Following SeaCat's lead, Gene, Ted, and Scott all successfully made it across the rushing river at the base to the cliff just under the falls and dove into the pounding water. Here's Gene diving off the cliff to make it across the pool at the base of the falls. SeaCat is opposite him in the picture, standing on the cliff ledge directing him. Ted is in the pool opposite Gene, hanging onto his GoPro as he climbs out of the pool to the ledge where SeaCat is standing.
Scott preparing to jump from the ledge at the base of the falls. To his left, SeaCat, Gene, and Ted are yelling words of encouragement (YEAH BOY!!).
The guys returned to the overlook platform, all in one piece, and the group is happy that everyone is safe!
Trafalgar Falls, Dominica
Next stop in SeaCat's van was to Trafalgar falls, another stunning waterfall that some crazy people boulder their way to the base of and jump in.
There are actually two falls that make up Trafalgar, Papa Falls (the higher falls), and Mama Falls.

Mama Falls
SeaCat guided us through an uphill field of boulders to Mama Falls (filled with some treacherous jumps over large cavities in the boulders!). All 6 of us managed to make it to the base of Mama falls, and we enjoyed swimming in the pool at the base.
There are several hot springs around Trafalgar Falls from the nearby fumerols of Dominica's rainforest (Boiling Lake is the largest of the fumerols). Here's the crew relaxing in the hot springs after the swim in the cold water at the base of Mama Falls.
