Bhaktapur, Nepal

September 27

We arrived back in Kathmandu this morning after our flight from Lukla and planned to spend the day in Bhaktapur, Nepal which is an ancient town in the eastern corner of Kathmandu Valley.  Bhaktapur was the capital of Nepal during the Malla Kingdom, up until the second half of the 15th century.  The town is still surrounded by the old walls.  It's a UNESCO world heritage site today for its rich culture, temples, wood, stone, and metal art work.
